Mary Voss is the Missouri Rural Water Association office professional of the year for 2007.

Voss was recognized as an outstanding office professional last week during the Association\'s annual Office Professionals Seminar at Lake Ozark, Mo. The award winner is determined by Missouri Rural Water Association staff based on accomplishments, demonstrated support for the water and wastewater industry and support of the Association.

According to Association staff, the award has been presented annually since 1984 to recognize “the importance of office personnel in the water and wastewater industries.”

As office manager for Public Water Supply District #1 of Franklin County, Mo., Voss is responsible clerical, administrative and supervisory work including billing and customer service. The utility is managed by Alliance Water Resources, a professional water and wastewater operations company.

Since joining the District in 1994, Voss has earned Missouri certifications for class “D” water, class “D” wastewater and water distribution III. She also provided input for the development of Missouri Rural Water Association\'s Certified Office Professional program and was among the first class to receive the certification in March 2007.
